Inquiring minds want to know....

I just received a picture of Jodi sitting in her hospital room wearing sunglasses and a pink scarf.....in typical Jodi fashion, she is one classy gal even after surgery!!!

First of all, her surgery went as expected, taking about 2-1/2 hours.  After surgery, she headed to recovery for a few hours and then to her more "permanent" room to continue to recover while her kids, parents, brother, nieces and nephew filled her room with chatter and laughter!  I just talked to her at 9:30 p.m. and she is very tired and groggy, but so far she says that she feels good~who wouldn't with all the meds she is on?!

As of right now, she has not seen or talked to her doctor, this will happen sometime tomorrow.  It is unsure how long she will stay at the hospital--it all depends on how she does overnight and in morning.  Tonight she feels good, but tomorrow she will most likely feel like she got hit by a big pink truck!

For those of you who want to call, visit, and wish her well, we ask that you send your well-wishes "virtually" via texts, E-mail, Facebook and this Blog for now. The key to Jodi bouncing back to a normal life depends on her getting a lot of rest and slowly getting back into the swing of how to do things on an everyday basis.  After such a major surgery, she will have limited mobility and will get tired often.  Jodi's parents took a 2-week hiatus from their winter-out-West months to stay with Jodi and help her to recover as fast as possible.  So, for the next few weeks we are keeping her visits to a minimum~sorry, but we (selfishly!) want her to get well really fast!  Jodi will have all her electronic devices handy so send her whatever you want to send her--funny stuff is always the best medicine!!  I have already forwarded to her all of the "Think Pink" pictures that people sent to me--thanks!  It is so cool to see all of her friends on the Pink Bandwagon today!!

So keep the prayers rising for good words from the Doctor in the next few days and a good recovery...and start sending your virtual wishes to Jodi now!

~Robin
